Cardiff Metropolitan – Which Orthotic ?

Learning & Teaching Development Unit OER . Dr Ian Mathieson (Senior Lecturer in Podiatry) and one of his students Oliver Harness, have developed in collaboration, an OER resource to assist in clinical decision-making within the field of Orthotics (in-shoe devices). Oliver has experience in web design, and suggested producing a web-based resource that could be accessed on portable devices, to support students’ clinical practice. The intention is that the existing web-based resource will eventually be developed into an App for use on Smartphones and tablets, and the approach could also be extended to apply to other areas of clinical practice.
