The Project is managed by Debbie Baff on behalf of the Universities Wales OER/P Expert Group.
Debbie was appointed in January 2014 as Project Manager for a Higher Education Wales Open Educational Resources initiative and is based within CELT at the University of South Wales in Caerleon.
Debbie has 18 years experience of working in the Higher Education Sector and has a background in Student Administration and Enhancing the Student Experience.
Her experience at the University of South Wales spans central and faculty based roles joining the former University of Wales Newport in 2002, working first as Deputy Head of Admissions and then subsequently as School Registrar for the School of Education. In 2011 she was appointed as Head of Student Registry with a remit of ensuring a high quality experience for applicants, students and alumni with line management responsibility for admissions & enrolment, curriculum and assessment and award functions.
Debbie has previously worked for the Open University within Student Support and as an IT Facilitator and Associate Lecturer. Prior to that she spent the early part of her career within the construction industry and is a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor. She is also a committed life long learner and is currently in the final stages of her MA in Online and Distance Education from the Open University. She is also a keen advocate of the Open Digital Badge Movement.
Debbie also manages the organisation of the OER15 Conference Planning Committee.
